2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years of age and legally permitted to participate in prototype software testing programs in your jurisdiction. By using the Service, you represent that you meet these requirements.
3. Prototype / Pre-Release Disclaimer (IMPORTANT)
The EBT Wallet software is a prototype under active development. This means:
- The software is provided "AS IS" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
- Do not use prototype builds to store, send, or receive real-value cryptocurrency assets. Test only with small amounts you are fully prepared to lose, or use testnet tokens where available.
- The AML screening engine is under development and may produce incorrect, delayed, or missing risk assessments. It must not be relied upon for legal compliance decisions.
- We may reset, wipe, or significantly alter the application at any time without notice.
4. License to Use
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the prototype software solely for testing and evaluation purposes as authorized by us. You may not distribute, sublicense, reverse-engineer, or decompile the software except to the extent permitted by applicable law.
5. Non-custodial Nature & User Responsibility
EBT Wallet is designed as a non-custodial wallet. We do not hold, store, or have access to your private keys or seed phrases. You are solely responsible for the security of your seed phrase. Loss of your seed phrase means permanent loss of access to any funds associated with it. We cannot recover lost seed phrases.
6. AML Screening Limitations
The in-app AML screening feature is an automated risk assessment tool for informational purposes only during the prototype phase. It does not constitute legal, compliance, or financial advice. Users must independently verify their compliance obligations under applicable law. Blocked or flagged transactions during testing do not constitute a formal regulatory action.
7. Prohibited Conduct
- Using the Service to attempt to process transactions that are illegal under applicable law.
- Attempting to circumvent, disable, or interfere with the AML screening engine.
- Sharing prototype access credentials or builds with unauthorized third parties.
- Using the Service to engage in, facilitate, or test money laundering, terrorist financing, or fraud.
- Reverse-engineering or disassembling any part of the Service.
8. Feedback and Intellectual Property
Any feedback, suggestions, or bug reports you submit become the property of EBT Consulting LLC and may be used to improve the Service without compensation. All intellectual property in the Service remains the property of EBT Consulting LLC, except for open-source components governed by their respective licenses.
9. Confidentiality
As a beta tester you may have access to non-public features, code, and roadmap information. You agree to maintain strict confidentiality regarding these materials and not to disclose them publicly without our written permission.
10. Regulatory Compliance Disclaimer
While EBT Consulting LLC is a registered MSB, participation in the prototype testing program does not create a regulated financial services relationship. Any financial services offered upon public launch will be governed by separate agreements and applicable law.
11. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, EBT CONSULTING LLC, ITS MEMBERS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF FUNDS, DATA, OR PROFITS, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE OR PROTOTYPE SOFTWARE.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless EBT Consulting LLC and its affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your violation of these Terms or your use of the Service.
13. Termination
We may terminate or suspend your access to the testing program immediately, without notice, if you breach these Terms or at our sole discretion.
14. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, United States. Any dispute shall first be subject to good-faith negotiation, and if unresolved, to binding arbitration in King County, Washington, under AAA Commercial Arbitration Rules. Either party may seek injunctive relief in any court of competent jurisdiction.
15. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. Continued participation in the testing program after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
